If you’re planning on camping anywhere near Lebanon, Maine, you really should give Flat Rock Bridge a call for reservations. With 350 sites to choose from and a mile of river frontage you and the kids will get plenty of time in the water and enjoying the recreation they have planned everyday during the mid-summer season.
You can go tubing on the river or swim in the pool. They have plenty of crafts from creating your own t-shirts to holiday specific creations. Every weekend offers a theme from their opening in May to closing in September. Aside from the themed weekends, they offer daily activities as well. You can watch a magic show, jugglers or skits on Sunday, family movies on Tuesday, and Friday Karaoke.
Rent a campsite from 20 – 50 amp electric or rent a cabin if that’s your preferred way to camp. Each site and cabin comes with free use of the Giant Waterslide, 2 heated pools, adult hot tubs, and anything you can imagine with their access to a mile of riverfront. They allow up to eight people on a campsite and up to two dogs. Some sites are on the riverfront and some have cable TV and sewer hookups. Cabins range from rustic to deluxe and can be rented by the night or by the week. Holidays require a three-night stay. They are not far from the ocean so you can take a day trip to the beach and be back in time for S’mores and a cozy campfire.
The owner, John, was not sure about purchasing a Phelps Honey Wagon at first. We are happy to report that he became a believer after his very first season. He said “I was a little leary about pumping at first. But it’s like the ice cream truck for adults. You drive down the road with the honey wagon and the guys come out waving their money.” We love hearing success stories like this because we see it time and time again.
