History of Phelps Honey Wagon

Brief Company Overview

We would like to introduce you to the PHELPS HONEY WAGON. Through engineering and use, since 1970, we have developed what we feel is the most efficient and economical method of handling campground waste. Originally designed and built by the owners of a 400 + site campground with over 250 seasonal sites, the Honey Wagon has evolved through hands-on experience. In 2005, the current owners purchased the business and moved Phelps Honey Wagon to its current location in Dillsburg, PA (halfway between Harrisburg and Gettysburg).

Gas Diaphram

The 300G & 500G (gas) were developed in 1984 to meet the needs of campgrounds with large pumping requirements, such as drop tanks, pits, extra holding tanks, etc. These wagon models have both gone through improvements since conception, to improve the customer's experience.

Electric Diaphram

The 300E (electric diaphragm) was added in 1987 to add a lower cost option but still have the power of a diaphram pump. In 2005 it was updated to a larger diaphragm pump with a bigger hose. The 500E was also first manufactured and distributed in 2005.

Macerator

The 300M (macerator) has been in service since 1970 and has does a good job for the small campgrounds. This model was the original design for a honey wagon, using rubber impellers, and still fits the needs of low volume customers.
